Private Educational Tasting

Our private educational tasting experience is ideal for anyone interested in learning more about wine & cider tasting, growing grapes, and making wine in Vermont.

Conducted by our Wine and Spirits Education Trust certified staff, your experience will include an expanded and personalized wine tasting with a local Vermont styled charcuterie board.

You’ll also enjoy a tour of our vineyard and winery, with an in-depth discussion about Shelburne Vineyard’s history and the ongoing evolution of the Vermont wine region.

Private Educational Tastings are $90 per person, plus applicable tax and 20% gratuity.

Our private educational tasting offering includes:

  • A personalized tasting for each person, consisting of 8 pours of our wines and/or ciders

  • A lavish custom charcuterie board with Vermont-made cheeses, cured meats (these can be replaced with additional cheese for vegetarians), locally-made crackers and preserves, and dried fruit (worth $55 by itself)

  • A dedicated sommelier who will guide you through the tasting and pairings, providing deep insight into our wines & ciders and how they are made

  • In-depth education about our sustainable farming practices and minimal intervention philosophy in the cellar

  • An extended tour of the vineyard, and of the winery whenever possible
