Shelburne Vineyard a Medalist with All Entries in International Wine Competition
Traminette Variety Merits Double Gold Medal
Results of the Taster's Guild April 2005 International Wine Competition were released today. Vermont's Shelburne Vineyard, producing wines from its Shelburne vineyards and winery, entered six varieties in this prestigious competition and earned medals for all of them.
Shelburne Vineyard's organically grown "Traminette" won the coveted Double Gold Medal. Vineyard owner and winemaker Ken Albert said, "My co-winemaker, Scott Prom, and I are extremely proud of this accomplishment. We hope it will help put Shelburne Vineyard and Vermont Viticulture on the radar of local wine connoisseurs and tourists alike!"
Also earning medals from the Taster's Guild were Shelburne Vineyard's "Vinefera Red" (Gold), Dry Riesling (Silver), Lakeview White (Silver), Merlot-Cabernet (Bronze) and Cayuga White (Bronze).
